After 36 development versions, available for evaluation from this site, Alan v3 is now feature complete and has been in alpha test for a long period.

The development versions have been available for download from this web site, and so will the alpha and beta test versions.

Although alpha versions are not final releases they have been rigorously tested during the 36 development versions that has gone before it. They are supported for full production work.

Availability will primarily apply to Windows, MacOSX and Linux platforms, volunteers to do ports are welcome.

As compared to version 2 Alan V3 sports complete object orientation, including user definable classes and inheritance with player input restrictions, verb look-ups etc. according to the class hierarchy. String handling is extended, and a loop construct has been introduced. Plus many more improvements, read up on Alan v3 features in the manual.
